subject: Wsi Franchise Review- Some Roi Concerns [print this page]

When discussing a WSI franchise, one of the first things people tend to be concerned about is the return on investment, or ROI. After all, were in business to make money. Providing excellent customer service and being a digital marketing pro is a great deal of fun, but its also nice to be able to pay the utility bills at the end of the month.

That said, the monetary concerns arent the only way to measure ROI, and the absolute value of the money isnt the only question to consider, either.

First, you have to consider the rate of return.

A franchise is a considerable investment of initial money, and no matter how much it pays out in the long run, thats not going to help if it doesnt pay the money out quickly enough to meet your expenses and standard of living. If your rate of return isnt quite what you need, it is time to consult with your mentor and with our guidance programs to try to change your strategy.

Next, theres the return on investment for time.

People start a new business because they feel it will improve their quality of life whether from doing something they love to do, having more time to spend with the family, or having more money to spend on nice things and the time to use those nice things.

So when considering return for time, compare what you get out of the time put in.

Do you make more per hour?

Do you get more time off to yourself per hour of work put in than you did at your previous job?

Do you get to spend more time working directly on things that interest you instead of having to slug through a bunch of dull stuff before doing so?

These are just a few of the concerns that come up when talking about the idea of a return on investment. The main goal is to consider what youre putting in, what you get in return, and finding out how to balance the equation in a way that makes you the most content.
