subject: Theme Parties Are Lots Of Fun For Any Celebration [print this page]

If you really think about it, you'll see that every party ever celebrated counts astheme parties. People don't really need a reason to throw a party; also, a party's theme will often tell what the dcor, the party favors and party supplies, the schedule of entertainment, the games, and even what the food will be.

For instance, if a maid of honor is planning her friend's bridal shower, her party supplies and decorations will most likely have a feminine and sophisticated color and design. Banners might be made of tissue and tulle, and tablecloths of lace; with all bearing a lovely shade of pink or lavender. There might be games like "Guess the Bride's Weight." The guests, who will mostly be female, will be served pastries, canapes, and other rich, exquisite finger foods.

Of course when it comes to theme parties, the categories of themes can be just as many and varied as the supplies and decorations available for each individual theme. Many parties are planned in accordance with special occasions, such as bridal showers, birthdays, retirements, wedding or work anniversaries, a job promotion, the purchase of a new home, a recent or impending move, a raise or promotion, etc.

Nowadays people even celebrate their divorces; and with just as much excitement and fun as the wedding and engagement parties that came before them! You can also plan theme partiesaccording to a certain holiday. People like to celebrate just about every holiday on the calendar, from Christmas to Easter, Labor Day to Independence Day, Passover to Kwanzaa.

New Year's Eve celebrations are especially popular, since people see New Year's as the ultimate party opportunity. Also, although parties celebrating days like Flag Day and Thanksgiving aren't so common, they still have been known to take place; especially in office and scholastic settings. Sometimes someone may throw a party for no reason at all; yet even the "just for the fun of it" parties count as theme parties. Fun and fluff make up the overall theme of this party, which will likely have bright colors and loudmaybe even livemusic for entertainment. So as you see, just about every party has its own theme.; a core reason which tells you what the decorations, menu, party supplies, and guest list will look like. Party on!
