Are Carbs And Fat Good For Your Health ?
[print this page]
Hello everyone,
Hello everyone,
In this article I want to teach you the importance of including carbohydrates and fat in your diet.
In contrary to what you have been led to believe, Fat and carbohydrates are as important of nutrients as protein.
You should just know the difference between the healthy and unhealthy types, and that is what I am about to explain to you:
Good Carbohydrates -VS- Bad Carbohydrates
There is too much fuss about taking low Carbs diets, and how carbohydrates are
bad for your health, but then again those are just half asssed attempts to confuse you.
If you take sometime, and learn about this nutrient you'll find out that carbohydrates are
as important as any other nutrient in your eating habits.
Let me explain, there is mainly two types of carbohydrates:
- High-Glycimic Carbs: which force a rush of glucose into your bloodstream, and those can be found
in candy bars, table sugar, white potatoes, and some other food.
As you probably know, glucose stimulates the flow of insulin which forces your body to only use the glucose as fuel
instead of stored fat. Since your body already has enough glucose to burn,
it just stores your ingested fat into more flab around your waist, doing absolutely nothing for you.
- Low-Glycimic Carbs: (which can be found on nuts, some fruits, and vegetables, yougurt, milk, pasta, nuts)
on the other hand are slowly digested, which requires your body to rely on its stored body fat to provide you with energy.
Good Fat -VS- Bad Fat:
"should I eat fat ?" is the most confusing question when you're trying to figure out how to burn fat.
It is obvious that since you are trying to burn fat, there is no point in ingesting more fat. right ?? WRONG !!
Studies showed that the right kind of fat can:
- significantly inscrease the levels of testosterone in your body,
- reduce the levels of heart-damaging cholesterol in your body,
- and help you lose bodyfat by prompting your body to use flab for FUEL.
Which kind of fat is the good fat you're asking ?? I'll tell you:
Saturated fats such as those found in processed foods, and margarine are to completely avoid
as they contain high levels of cholesterol, while animal fats and dairy should be consumed with moderation.
Unsaturated fats on the other hand are good for your health and can provide all the benifits listed above.
These exist in olive oil, avocado, nuts, fish, plants, canola oil, and some other foods.
So concentrate your diet on unsaturated fats, and avoid the unsaturated fats at all costs.
