Most drinking games involve a set of cards and around the world is one such drinking game. This game is a more complex than the other games but saves on time that may be very limited. This game has several names depending on the locality of the game. Some of the names associated with the game include Monkey Balls, Up the River Down the River and many more.

To play around the world some of the major requirements are a set of cards and enough amounts of beverages to serve all the players. The cards are shuffled and each of the players is served with his or her favourite drink. After shuffling the cards one of the players is chosen to predict the card to be drawn from the set of cards available.

The dealer refers to the person who draws the card, in case the player gives the right guess the dealer may choose to offer a drink to the player or select another player to take the drink instead. If the guess is wrong the player has to take the drink. In this game, players are required to keep the cards that have already being used with them for use in the second round. The player is required to make a correct prediction of the colour of the card that is picked from the set of cards.

When playing around the world drinking game, a player is expected to correctly guess the value of the card to be drawn from the set of cards. He or she has to guess if the value of the card will be higher or lower than the first card. The values in most of the cases are delivered from deuces up to ace but this sequence can vary depending on the players. In card three, the player also has to predict the value of the card to be drawn correctly.

In card four however the player has to predict the suit of the card which is to be drawn. This part solely depends on the rules stipulated at the begging of the game. The participant can choose to predict from same card suit or a different suit.

Round two of around the world involves all the players taking turns to participate in the game just like in the first round. The dealer in this case has eight cards at his or her disposals that are placed in two separates columns. The dealer then alternates the cards by flipping them from each column at the same time.

The card drinking game comes to a conclusion when one of the cards which have already been used which belongs to a player in the first round is revealed. The player is obliged to take or drink beers is may be offered. The quantity of the drinks that each card represents depends solely on rules that are defined by the players at the beginning of the game. However in around the world game, the amount of drinks in the card increases as the game advances.
