While running their company, the founders of ITOPIA have successfully completed many IT projects. Both being avid IT professionals, they found their clients had an enormous amount of important data stored haphazardly in their emails.

While Microsoft Outlook does organize and manage personal emails and documents, it does not allow others to share data, or leverage workflow on their emails to get work done quicker. At the same time, Microsoft SharePoint was designed as a content management system aimed to address collaboration and workflow needs, but Microsoft left a disconnect between Outlook and SharePoint, forcing users to learn to manage and juggle awkwardly between the two programs.

One needed to be an expert at using and managing both the software programs to get things done, and even so, you ended up asking for the IT administrator to bail out from jams, or asking for help with various functions in either or both programs.
