Many Mac users use the native DVD player application to watch DVD movies in Mac OS X. But when they try to use the DVD player to open the .VOB extension video files which they ripped from a DVD, the names are grey out in the file selector window. This is because DVD player can't play VOB files if you damage the original DVD folders. Then, how to play the separate VOB files on Mac?
Actually, there are several media-playback freeware out there available for playing VOB on Mac, such as, VLC player for Mac, MPlayer, Plex etc. I have tested the VLC player with 6 VOB files in a folder on my Macbook, it performed very well.
