Lemon juice has the most acidic taste among all fruits and vegetables. It contains all the features that make it an excellent natural remedy for various health issues. Lemons are rich in various nutritional elements that are found in almost every other fruit, besides having loads of healing properties and therapeutic uses. Generally, people use lemons to add taste to drinks, food and even prepare tangy sauces. However, a lot of people fail to get the natural benefits of this small, yet energizing fruit.

People, the world over, use lemons to curb intense heat. It is mainly used by people in Eastern countries to cure and avoid chronic dehydration during summer. Lemons can be juiced alone, but its acidic content makes it difficult to gulp down. The best solution for this problem is to add honey or herbs to dilute the acid of lemons. Moreover, lemon juice can also be prepared using different fruits and vegetables. This will not only enhance the taste, but will also increase overall health benefits.

You can use all kinds of fruits; however, citrus fruits give the best taste. For example, lemon juice along with oranges gives a very fizzy, yet sweet taste. Similarly, you can use other fruits as well. As far as adding vegetables is concerned, you can use any vegetable that you like to juice up.

Juicing lemons in the juice extractor is not a difficult task. To prepare one glass of lemon juice, peel some lemons and scoop out the seeds. Put them in the juicer and add the desired quantity of water. Now put some ice cubes and run the juicer until the ice cubes have crushed well and the three ingredients have fused as well. Pour out the juice into a glass and serve while chilled. You can add more ingredients such as fresh mint leaves, herbs, honey, etc to enhance taste and benefits.

You can store pure lemon juice i.e. one without honey, herbs, fruits and vegetables for as long as you want. However, do not store them for too long as it is best to consume juices while they are fresh and bursting with nutrients. If you add other ingredients as well, use an airtight jar or container to store the juice or, otherwise, the juice will oxidize immediately.

Lemon juice cures throat infections such as colds, tonsillitis and sore throat, whereas it also provides relief from various digestive disorders. It improves liver functions and stimulates detoxification in the body. You can also treat low blood pressure by drinking lemon juice regularly. Lemon juice is also rich in potassium, which is great for curing mental stress, nausea, depression, anxiety, headache and dizziness.
