Honestly, the whole idea of square foot gardening truly intrigued me!
But forget about me! Why is square foot gardening great for just about anybody? I'll tell you why! In fact, I'll give you five great reasons why square foot gardening is the best type of vegetable garden for just about anyone! The first, and perhaps the most obvious reason why square foot gardening is the perfect type of vegetable garden is because square foot gardening can happen anywhere! No longer to apartment dwellers have an excuse for not having more than a measly flower bed outside their kitchen windows. Now even the smallest of patios can become host for a full fledged vegetable garden thanks to square foot gardening.
Did you know that square foot gardening offer much less time, effort, and therefore WORK to the everyday vegetable garden grower? Seriously, how much work can a little four foot square box filled with little itty bitty plants just trying to grow a little bit of harvest be? No weeds, no bugs, and no crawling around acres and acres of garden. Now that is my kind of gardening! The ease and convenience of square foot gardening also had me sold right at the get go. Do you use a wheel chair or have other mobility issues? Just put your square foot gardening garden up a little higher for ease of access!
Because you can do all your square foot gardening in an enclosed area, there are no weeds and bugs which means it is organic too! And let's face it, gardening is just plain fun and square foot gardening makes it even more so!
