Learn How To Install An Automatic Pool Cleaner

Automatic pool cleaning machines are undoubtedly the best gizmos for cleaning up swimming pools. These machines are sweet substitutes to the manual pool cleaning tools. The pool cleaner manufacturers put their best efforts to make these machines robotic and intelligent enough to sanctify the pools without human intervention. The pools booster pump leverages the intake power of the cleaner and enables it to suck all the dirt and debris floating on the water surface and settled as sediment on the floor of the pool. However, not all pool owners are that savvy to read and understand the installation instructions that are found in the product manuals that come paired with the pool cleaning products. For them, here is a brief rundown on how to install a machine.

Step One: Making the Skimmer Basket Dirt-free

One preliminary step is to take out the skimmer basket of the pool. As the basket is used for collecting debris, it might be overstuffed with dirt and debris. Whether it is a Barracuda pool cleaner or a Kreepy Krauly one, it wont work up to your expectation if the dirt and debris are completely removed from the skimmer basket. Wash it separately and let it dry in sun.

Step Two: Interconnecting Hose Pieces

Next you need to connect each of the hose pieces to one another until the whole pool area is covered. Once all the pieces are connected in a series and the whole hose comes into form, you need to attach the pool cleaner head with the long-tailed hose. Your preparative step for installing the machine is done. However, make sure all the joints are tightly connected and no part is loose. Water, dirt and debris would easily seep out if the hose is not in one piece giving rise to further complications.

Step Three: Turn Pump On

Before turning the pools booster pump on, you need to immerse the pool cleaning unit into water. Now turn the pump on and let water flow into the system. Pick up the open part of the hose and insert it into the return inlet. Let the cleaner hose become full with water. By doing this, you will actually sluice all the air from the hose. This is extremely important for better suction of dirt and debris. The Barracuda pool cleaner products would not work effectively if the air is not sluiced from the hose. Now switch off the pool pump.

Step Four: Connect the Skimmer with the Hose

Next you need to affix the hoses open end with the skimmer of your pool. Make sure the hose reaches the end of the skimmer basket. On the other hand, ensure that the main unit is immersed in water throughout the pool cleaning job.

Step Five: Turn Again the Pump On

This is the second time you need to turn on the additional pump of your pool. Filtration system of the pool will start working. The specialty of these automatic pool cleaners is they automatically start working once the pool pump is one and stops only when the entire pool is cleaned.

Howbeit, you need to take reference from the product manual which you will get with the pool cleaning machine you purchase. You will find a more vivid description there only. Use this as a short handbook only.
