subject: Playing The Witch Drinking Game [print this page] . It is a simple game that is easy to understand and does not require any elaborate planning. All you need is beer and an empty glass in order to have fun.
This drinking game starts with the first player placing a glass face down on the back of their hand. They then hold it out and offer it to the next player saying "this is a witch". The player does not take the glass first but instead asks "the what?" The first player replies "the witch", to which the second player says "ah the witch" and takes the glass using the same upside down fashion as the first player did. They have to be careful not to drop the glass. Any time someone breaks any of the rules they are to "drink" four fingers.
The second player now holds out the glass to the third player and says "this is a witch" to which the third player replies "the what?" The third person does not immediately take the glass; the second player turns to the first player and says "the what?" The first player says "the witch" to which the second player turns to the third player and says "the witch".
The third player says "ah the witch!" and proceeds to take the glass still placing it at the back of their hand as the other players did too. The process then continues in the same fashion with the rest of the players. To make this drinking game more interesting you can add some variations to it. One way to do so is this, instead of passing around an empty glass; it should have some beer in it. Also instead of passing the drink around the players can opt to take a drink every time they get to the part where they have to say "ah the witch". The glass is then filled before it is given to the next person while still maintaining the four finger punishment for anyone who breaks the rules.
This drinking game may sound simple but as people get inebriated they start to loose the ability to control their movement or remember the order of the game. The players can also make the drinking game more enjoyable by adding a theme to it. For example you can decide to replace the word "the witch" with a names beginning with "T". For example the first player can say "this is Timothy". The other players are supposed to come up with names beginning with "T" and if any one repeats a name which has been said they are to drink four fingers. The players can also confuse each other by taking the glass back to the person who gave it to them and change the direction of the game. This makes the players likely to mess up by asking or replying to the wrong person which means they have to drink four fingers as punishment.
