subject: 2012 Is A New Year For Drivers [print this page] Almost every golfers has a driver ,why ? Roughly 85 percent of all amateurs slice their driver, do you know why there are so many golfers use the drivers . which cheap golf drivers are hottest in 2012 .
The Year's Crop Of New Drivers are longer and lighter than ever! Thanks to a handful of new design iterations that reduce weight and add length to the shaft, today's top drivers are extremely powerful and forgiving. And in our opinion, 2012 is the year of pure driver style. Seems as though most companies have adopted the classic shape again, only this time in a variety of colors and variations sure to please just about any type of player.
If it's hot and it's new, we have it right here in our listings of our favorite drivers for 2012.
Key Feature: From master marketer TaylorMade comes the latest club everybody's talking about. While you might not believe it's called RocketBallz, you may just find yourself saying the name every time you nut one deep into the fairway. Expect some huge distance, folks.
Who It's For: Budget-minded golfers who like a white, 460cc, tunable driver, but not the price of the R11S.
Key Feature: Changes from the first R11 include two more settings on its Adjustable Sole Plate and a 3 FCT sleeve. Last year's most-talked-about driver just became the most adjustable big stick in golf. And, yes, it's still white, still long and still very popular.
Who It's For: People who love to dial in their drivers and dig the easy-to-align white-crown/black-face combo.
Key Feature: No new drivers from Titleist this year except a loft and shaft addition to the D2 model, which is a fuller, pear-shaped driver that has an adjustable hosel for a custom fit. It also has loads of internal weighting for an optimized high-launch/low-spin ballflight. This is the most accessible, easy-to-hit driver we've seen from Titleist. The ball flies high and far, without ballooning.
Key Feature: The slightly smaller, slightly more pear-shaped 910 D3 produces an even more boring and penetrating flight than the D2. Otherwise, it has much of the same technology. It's the most workable of the two Titleist drivers. It's quite forgiving and long, too.
Who It's For: Golfers with faster swing speeds and who want a lower spin rate and modest trajectory.
