My wife bought me one of these for xmas. I took it out the first time and it went threw 5 inches of snow like nothing! It really works best on blacktop or pavement but additionally works on gravel you simply must take your time. The tougher you push the farther the snow flys. It takes a bit longer as a result of its solely 18 inches but its a great little machine. The cords a pain typically but you'll be impressed when you purchase one! I really like mine!

I purchased this primarily because I needed a lighter weight snowblower that I need to take over 2 sets of stairs. After I first tried it the snow was very wet, early in the season when it wasn't very chilly out and it started clogging once I was about finished. Now that it's colder it does a better job and it seems to throw the snow more vigorously the heavier the snow it goes through. I've never had it throw snow over four or 5 ft however that's not a problem. I sprayed some silicone on the chute and that appeared to assist maintain it from clogging. I have not used it on deep snow yet so the jury's nonetheless out on that...
