Firefox 3.6 Alpha 1 is as stable as Opera, It's faster than Firefox 3.5, The image colors are now more like IE instead of washed out. It scores a 92/100 but 94/100 if you enable SVG animations in the acid3 test. Firefox 3.6 shaping up to be what people expected Firefox 3 to be and funny thing is Firefox 3.6 with all the new enhancements is supposed to be in final release by year's end.
I have been using firefox for well over 3 years now, and to be honest I'm getting quite sick of it. more precisely, I'm getting sick of the add-ons, the very things for which I am using firefox in the first place.
while most add-ons have a good concept behind them, I find that most of them are ever more poorly maintained as time passes. even though for most add-ons updates are maid available quite often, these do not always improve the product. ever more I'm seeing add-on developers that are trying to make money of them, either hassling you for donations, or to upgrade to a PRO version of that add-on. another thing that bothers me is the fact that if you have become dependent on using a lot of add-ons, you most definitely are not a stranger to add-on conflicts. which brings me to the next thing that upsets me: the fact that most add-on developers don't really care for feedback from users. I myself have reported bugs for a couple of add-ons, and neither received a word back from the developers, nor have I seen those bugs fixed.
Because of these problems I'm having with firefox, I'm finding myself using Opera more and more. The only thing that keeps me from switching completely to Opera is the No-script add-on.
