It takes the place of the LG Optimus 2X which was their previous flagship phone, and the first smartphone in the world to sport a dual-core processor. The LG Optimus 4X HD brings the format bang up to date. As the name suggests, the handset has an HD screen which sports the same resolution and dimensions of the HTC One X. The screen, unlike that of the HTC device utilises HD-IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen technology. This produces equally impressive display quality and responsiveness, but does not quite match the battery efficiency of AMOLED panels. A similar 8 megapixel camera is included, and comes with a similar package of features as well as 1080p video.
