subject: Improving Your Apartment Bathroom [print this page]

With things slowly getting back to normal people are beginning projects that they were holding off on and improving their homes. Some are doing complete home remodels while others are doing much smaller projects. If you've been holding off on a remodeling project due to lack of funds or time now may be the best time to do it. You can easily do simple small things that don't cost a lot to help improve your home. One area in your home that might need some work and can easily be improved is your bathroom. Though you don't spend a lot of time in it, it is important to maintain its upkeep. When you have friends and family over to your home a majority of them will go into your bathrooms and you want to make sure it doesn't scare them away because I've seen some bathrooms that have. One of the good things about improving your bathroom is that it's one of your smallest rooms in your home so it won't take much to improve it. Here are some simple things you can do that won't cost a lot or take up a lot of time but make a difference on how your bathroom looks.

One way you can improve your apartment bathroom is by replacing the sink faucet. Getting a brand new faucet will really make a difference and can make your bathroom look more modern. You can easily go down to the local hardware store, pick one up and install it yourself in one day. Make sure though that you chose a faucet that matches your bathroom because if you don't it will really look out of place and possibly throw off the flow in your bathroom.

A second way to improve your apartment bathroom is to roll up your sleeves and get to work cleaning. I've been in bathrooms where there were all types of different stains in the bath tub and sink. If you haven't cleaned in a while it may be more difficult to get rid of those stains but doing so will make a world of a difference. No one enjoys looking at a sink or bathtub with a stain ring around it. Using simple cleaning products you can buy from the store you can make your sinks and tubs look brand new. Another tip is to replace your shower curtain if it's worn out. Again I've walked into bathrooms where the home owners has mold growing at the bottom of the shower curtain which made the bathroom seem really dirty. Putting in a shower curtain that can match your floor mats and towels will look really good.

Doing these simple things will help improve your bathroom without costing an arm and a leg and also not taking up a lot of time.
