subject: A Closer Look At The Revision App On The Top Selling Apple Iphone 4s [print this page]

The Apple iPhone 4S is a smartphone which is well known for its versatility. This is thanks largely to the wide range of apps available from the AppStore. This contains many categories, meaning the phone lends itself to everything from multimedia use, to business use and everything in between. In this article I will take a closer look at one of the popular education apps available in the AppStore, called Revision App.

This app is designed for all UK levels of high school education, covering the compulsory GCSE exams, and the optional A-Levels and even university courses. Using the app is simple. You select the level or exam you wish to revise for form the main menu. From here you will be presented with a surprisingly comprehensive list of subjects. When a subject is selected, you will be presented with flash cards, asking a question based on the subject and education level you have selected. The top part of the flash car will ask the question, and below this is some red text saying Tap here to see Answer. This way you can try to answer the question yourself, and when you are ready to see if you were correct, simply tap this red text. This will display the answer for the question. When you have done this, you can move on to the next flash card and the next question. Questions are asked in sequences of ten at a time. In total, there are over half a million flash cards included with this app, which is very impressive considering the price of the app (it is completely free to download). Another handy feature of this app is that you can send and receive flash cards to your friends via email or Facebook, so you can revise with a partner and stay motivated.

If you are at any level of education, I cannot think of a good reason not to download the Revision App. If you own an iPhone 4S or any previous versions, an iPad or even an iPod Touch, you can revise wherever you are, without the need to carry any stationary around with you. Using the simple touchscreen operation of the iPhone 4S.

Aside from the Revision App, there are thousands of other apps on the education category of the AppStore. The Revision App is a good example though, as it is free, offers comprehensive subject matter, and relevant questions to the subject and education level of your choice.
