subject: Why Macerating Toilets Are Becoming The Norm [print this page]

Toilets are probably not something you think about regularly. We use them every day, but we aren't exactly clamoring to find out what kind is in the bathroom at work or how they operate. But they do suddenly become very important when there's a problem with one. Whether it is an issue at home or that the public bathroom at the mall is out of service, you are instantly affected when things aren't working as they should be.

Macerating toilets are becoming a more popular choice for places in general and there's good reason for that. Macerating toilets work in that they break down waste, paper, and everything else into small bits so that they flush better without clogs. It's especially great for places with low water pressure, like large apartment buildings. Low pressure is the common reason why things don't move the way they should through pipes. So these kind of toilets avoid that problem altogether. They have also gotten significantly cheaper over the years, going for hundreds less than they used to.

Where once they were more of a luxury, enough time has passed that companies have found cheaper ways to make them out of more affordable materials and that's why you see so many more, pre-installed into home and in the bathrooms of public buildings.Getting one in your own home, if it doesn't have one already, would be a great move. This is definitely so if you have a large family. Sometimes a toilet with low flow can't handle multiple flushes too quickly in a row, but a macerating toilet will make sure that everything gets down the pipes just fine. After all, with everyone moving forward in choosing them, you should be too. And they are so easy to replace your old toilet with that you can do it yourself.

In fact, it wasn't until in my old house that we installed three macerating toilets in all three bathrooms that things really changed. We had less clogs, less time plunging and pipes that ran smoothly. I couldn't even remember the last time we had a backup after that. And in a house that often had guests over, it really worked well for everybody, family and friends. There's a reason macerating toilets have become so common. In fact, there will be a day when any toilet that isn't one will be scoffed at. You'll think to yourself, "Wow, they still have one of those?"
