Ebay is one of them.
Ebay has over 100 million members. Most any item you can think of is available on Ebay and at a good price. Many times you may have something lying around your house of no value to you, but it may fetch a high price to someone else on Ebay. But at the same time, you can't just sell anything.
Some things just can't be auctioned on Ebay. For example, services cannot be auctioned because you have to sell an item. You can't go on Ebay and auction off your massage services. Some people choose to disregard this rule. Don't be one of them. You also aren't allowed to sell something that is illegal to sell. Rigged cable boxes are one example of an illegal item to sell.
Copies of copywritten media like DVDs or CDs cannot be sold on Ebay but you can sell the originals. You also are not permitted to sell replica items like designer sunglasses. They are supposed to be the real thing. That goes for items like shoes and pocketbooks as well.
Federal or state regulated things like alcohol, tobacco or firearms can't be sold. Prescription drugs or dare I have to say, illegal drugs are prohibited as well.
No type of animal may be sold in an auction on Ebay. This includes once-living animals that are now stuffed.
You can however sell tickets provided you don't sell them for higher than what you paid. I think they call that scalping and you can't do that on Ebay. You cannot however sell Lotto tickets or your church's raffle tickets.
Ebay is a great way to get paid at home. But be sure to read all the rules and if you have any doubt about something you want to sell, don't sell it until you get the OK from Ebay.
