subject: How To Plan Activities To Enjoy While On A Cuba Holiday [print this page]

When in Cuba there are a lot of different things to see, but also a lot of things to do! Most of the activities available will engage everyone in your travelling party, but some will highly depend on whether you"re travelling with your partner, a group of friends, or your family. Cuba holidays can be fun for people of all ages, so you can even have fun if little children and teenagers come along or if you"re on a "girls only" getaway.

When it comes to planning activities to do during your holiday in Cuba, online research is going to make all the difference. There are a lot of travel websites and blogs that have great information about the best things to do in Cuba, depending on your personal interests, likes and hobbies and where in the island you will be staying. You can use these online tools to tailor your stay around what you would like to do and who you are going to be with! For example if you"re heading for Varadero beach and plan to stay there for the whole duration of your stay you could choose between swimming with the dolphins and visiting the gorgeous Josone Park (both great activities for families and couples) or choose to check out the hot scene at Varadero"s buzzing selection of discos (ideal for those coming with groups of friends and looking to party).

If, for example you plan to visit Havana for a day or two, or for a whole week, even if you don"t stay in a beach resort and choose to be right at the heart of all the action in Old Havana or in the popular downtown area of Vedado, you"ll still be within 30 minuets to Havana"s glorious eastern beaches (Playa del Este), meaning that you don"t necessarily need to stay in a beach resort like Varadero and Guardalavaca to enjoy a sunny beach. If you prefer culture, history and fun partying at Havana"s hot salsa dancing venues, then it"s better to stay in Havana without missing out on the beach by catching a cab ride to the popular Santa Maria beach or El Megano.

There you will get to mingle with the locals instead of seeing large tourist crowds everywhere. If you"re looking for something more secluded, you could drive for 30 more minutes and reach Jibacoa, the quietest piece of turquoise paradise you"ll find a little outside of Havana, a true paradisiacal location, totally idyllic and pristine, with no large crowds.

From beaches to scuba diving, museums, restaurants, and more, there are many things you can find out about in Cuba by going online before your departure. There are even travel websites that include reviews from other travellers and will help you make a decision. Doing the research can be a lot of fun and get you excited for the holiday that is coming up. It will also make sure you have a great time.
