LINDBERG eyewear has long been an award-winning company, receiving prestigious accolades year after year and even being honored with the Danish Royal Warrant of Appointment. Being a supplier to the royal family of Denmark is just one of the brands many exciting accomplishments, and now there are a few more to add to the list. LINDBERG was recently awarded with two 2012 Red Dot Design awards for its 1800 Horn and Acetanium Teen collections.

The Red Dot awards carefully look at the products of 1,800 designer eyewear manufacturers and creators from nearly 60 countries around the world. With so many beautiful works of art to choose from, it is a major feat for LINDBERG glasses to come out on the very top.

According to the Danish brand, Red Dot awards are considered an internationally recognized seal of approval for aesthetically pleasing shapes and long-life design trends.LINDBERG eyeglasses have both of these, as well as impeccable craftsmanship the frames are all handmade right in Denmark.

LINDBERGs 1800 Horn collection was honored for its excellence in product design quality, impressing judges with fabulous frames and interesting materials. The front rims consist of laminated layers of Indian buffalo horn, which are complemented by titanium temples, a lightweight material that LINDBERG has become well known around the world for using.

The LINDBERG Acetanium Teen collection received the award for its high quality as well. This line stands out with its combination of acetate and titanium materials, making for a very lightweight pair of designer eyeglasses that can make a colorful statement. Acetanium glasses feature an acetate frame reinforced by titanium, which gives the specs a strong and durable finish.

The Red Dot awards come on the heels of several other awards this season, including multiple Good Design awards. Headed by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, as well as the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, LINDBERG received two Good Design awards for the LINDBERG Precious 921 collection and the Acetanium Teen collection once again.

The Acetanium Teen range helped LINDBERG start the year off on a great note, and for good reason. Extremely popular among young designer glasses wearers, these frames are the perfect fit for petite faces. Not only are they designed for a comfortable, flattering fit, but teens can customize their frames with their favorite colors as well.
