Do you wonder if what you're experiencing may be panic attacks? Here are 3 common signs

1. You Feel A Sensation Similar To A Hot-Flash

How it usually starts is with a horrible wave of heat that feels like it's washing over your entire body. Also note that if you've just eaten, then your body's own digestive processes may be contributing to the feeling. You'll probably also notice that your palms are sweating. Some would probably describe this as similar to a hot flash. For me, when I was suffering from these attacks, it was the first thing I would notice, 9 times out of 10.

2. You Feel Like You're About To Black Out

You may feel as if you're being closed off from the real world. Reality itself might seem to become distant, and you get the feeling as if you're about to faint. Weakness can also be a part of this feeling. If you're with someone when this is happening, please let them know. This way, that person can monitor your symptoms and provide help, if they can.

3. Your Heart Rate Increases, and Breathing Accelerates

Possibly the biggest thing that would freak me out when I used to experience this was that my heart rate would skyrocket. It would go so unbelievably fast, and my awareness of that would actually make things worse. Sometimes, people may even mistake this for the beginnings of a heart attack. Thankfully, most of the time, this is not true, and it's a panic attack. However, if you think you're having a heart attack, you should definately get yourself medical help.

Along with heart rate, your breathing will also accellerate. This is normal in this type of situation. Once again, do not let it alarm you, as your body is just trying to compensate for the other symptoms by getting more oxygen to your brain and other parts of your body.

Thankfully, panic attacks usually only last a few minutes, and the victim can return to normal soon afterwards.
