subject: The Process Of Producing Updated Business Mailing Lists [print this page]

Connecting with targeted prospects is essentially a fundamental part in

converting them as clients. But, with the immense population of potential

customers and the need of spending within limits, it is impossible, and

unintelligible too, to do a random prospecting. You have to pick your best

targets and focus more on them. Yet, there is still a problem. You need to

get the business contacts of each prospective client so you can let them

know your brand and solutions.

Generating lists also involves a process of activities that would ensure

that every business data is authentic. Just because you already have the

data does not mean that it still exists. Also, there are new contact

information that may be added anytime. You have to get them so you can

increase your customer base. So, how can you produce a clean business

mailing list. Here are some ways:

Make regular updates. The best thing to maintain precision is to conduct

regular updates, daily if possible. No one has an idea when will the data

be changed or added. That leaves you no choice but to be there when it

happens. It is better than waiting for the time to lapse before you even

learn the truth.

Explore online. The Internet is a huge storage of information, which

includes business data. Try to explore the world wide web so you can find

what you are looking for. You can start with the business websites of your

target market. Then, you can dig deeper to social networking sites such as

Linkedin. Be sure to get the most important details such as full name of

key contact persons, the position of the decision-makers, mailing address

and if possible the phone number and email ad.

Data mine from information stored by associations and organizations. The

data being held by associations and organizations are also a good source of

contacts. Coordinate with the right officials and see if you can get a

copy.

Always verify. Do not risk sending mails with less assurance that the

information are not yet outdated. Verify first the data before using it.

You can utilize the phone to confirm with the prospects that the gathered

data are true and correct. A business contact list containing only

thousands of accurate information is better than a multi-million database

that is full of errors. With every flaw, you are wasting time, money and

resources.

I understand that you may not be able to do these crucial activities for

several reasons. You may not have the people, time and enough funds. In

this case, don't push your company for something that is downright not

viable and will only cost you more. It would not be worth tasking the risk.

Instead, find a business database seller that has a database and technology

center. Buy a leads list from it for an affordable price so you won't be

struggling with list building.
