subject: How To Select The Perfect Beauty Gifts And Sets For That Special Woman [print this page]

A fantastic present needs to satisfy on two counts. It needs to be an item that the recipient considers a luxury and wouldn't buy themselves. It also needs to carry on providing pleasure long after the initial excitement and unwrapping are over. Beauty gifts and sets get it right in both these facets.

Little makes a woman happier than being able to pamper herself and add a little prettiness to her life. It boosts her self esteem and makes her feel lovable. A set of skin care products, make up or perfume do all that and more.

However, there are different types of sets available so it's best to think about a few things before choosing one. To make the decisions, it helps to be an observant person. Some will really love a make up present while others will get far more joy out of skin care products. There are also those who adore perfume.

This basic choice isn't too difficult to make. If she enjoys make up it'll be visible, in which case she'd probably enjoy a present inclusive of some new shades and brands. Some women simply never wear make up and for them, beauty products are far preferable.

There are still others who love scents and yet others who never wear them at all and never will. There aren't many of them but they do exist. A boyfriend often knows what she prefers. Women often have favorite scents.

The trouble is that that favorite fragrance might well be something she purchases for herself all the time, so it may not make a luxurious gift. It would instead be helpful to purchase a scent that's similar to those she enjoys. Some like fruity scents, others like floral ones and still others enjoy spicy ones.

Women also have varying tastes in make up. Some enjoy classic colors and others are avid trend followers, and yet others wear a couple of looks that they've found work for their features and they stay with those for years. Friends should be able to tell where she falls in. A boyfriend is often not quite as observant of make up types, and he may gain an advantage from giving her best girlfriend a call.

Choosing skin care products requires more personal knowledge that's not always obvious from the outside. Choosing these will need a knowledge of her specific skin type. She may be combination, oily or dry.

Since skin care products are made to suite various complexions, not taking this into account is dooming oneself to failure. Age is often indicative of skin type, though. Women over thirty commonly have dry skins, while those over twenty usually have combination skins. Those under twenty often have oily complexions.

In anything, though, there are exceptions to the rule. It's far preferable to ask someone who may know. When it comes to skin care, there are also women who stick to one brand to exclusion. It helps to know if she's one of these as it would be pointless, then, to purchase a different one. With all that knowledge, present givers will make a perfect choice in choosing beauty gifts and sets.
