subject: How To Make Your Blog Pinterest Friendly To Get You More Free Traffic [print this page]

Are you encouraging people to share your blog posts on Pinterest?

I hope so because Pinterest is hot HOT hot right now and is referring more traffic than You Tube, Google Plus and LinkedIn combined

So if your blog is not Pinterest friendly and people cant share your posts, then you are missing out on a ton of FREE traffic that could be coming to your blog!

Heres what you need to do to get people pinning your posts on their Pinterest boards

1)Provide fab content: Goes without saying really but if your blog posts are not up to scratch then no one is going to want to share them so always make sure your posts are top notch and give value so people will want to share your posts.

2)Add an image: Pinterest is all about pictures and images so you need to have images in your posts. The more the merrier but at the very least make sure theres at least 1 image in every post you publish!

3)Make it easy: Yep you make it easy peasy for people to share your posts and they will. You can do this by installing either the Dig Dig Wordpress plugin or the Social Share plugin to your blog and people will be able to click on them and pin your posts direct to their Pinterest boards giving you a nice backlink back to your blog.

4)Ask them too: Some people have to be asked to share. God knows why but they do so at the end of your blog post just write a few lines saying if youve found the post useful, then please share on Pinterest. You will be surprised at just how many will.

5)Thank them for sharing: Its always nice to be appreciated dont you think. So definitely make sure you thank and shout out the people that are sharing your posts because it will encourage more people to share your blog posts in the future if you do.

So if you make sure that your blog is Pinterest friendly by doing ALL of the above then you will be encouraging more people to share your posts

Which obviously means that you are going to get a nice flow of free traffic and backlinks pointing back to your blog.
