subject: The Legend Of The Mx-5 [print this page]

There have been a number of convertibles (roadsters) released over the years, however, there are only a few that have had longevity and won the British public over. Its no small feat to win the British public over with a convertible either, as although we love the sun, we do not get enough of it. As such, investing in a car which is primarily built for the summer is not the most sensible option out there!

BMW have endured a lot of success with their Z series. The original Z3 was launched in the mid 1990s and was featured on the James Bond film Goldeneye. It enjoyed great success and was remodelled to provide the Z4 which has also proved to be a successful car.

The Honda S2000 has not enjoyed the levels of success that its competitors has, however, it is generally considered to be a great car offering fun, excitement and good looks with a proven Honda engine underneath the bonnet.

The MGF has proved to be a phenomenal success too, however, there is one car that has stood head and shoulders above the competition in terms of sales alone the Mazda MX-5.

The good news for MX-5 fans is that as the weather gets better and British Summer Time approaches, Mazda has introduced a new special edition of the MX-5 - the MX-5 Venture Edition'. The Venture edition features upgraded luxurious specification, advanced technology, premium interior trim and exterior colours exclusive to the Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition.

With the world's fastest powered retractable hard top, up or down in just 12 seconds it is sure to be another hit for Mazda. It is priced competitively too at 18,995 and 22,285 (OTR).

The Mazda MX-5 Venture Edition's stand out' specification features light gun metal 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lights, chrome front grille, piano black fashion bars and special Venture Edition' badging.

The MX-5 has been voted Best Roadster' byAuto Expressmagazine for six years in a row and if you are in the market for a convertible then you would be silly not to check one out at your local Mazda dealer.
