Kids and adults alike will enjoy using simple arts and crafts materials and edible items to create fun centerpieces. Candy Centerpieces Candy centerpiece not only are fun to make but tasty to eat. Create a tasty and festive candy centerpiece using as many candies as possible - or as few as the party host desires. To create a candy centerpiece, use a tin bucket or container and place a Styrofoam block inside the bucket or container. Place large, medium, small lollipops and suckers in the Styrofoam. Tie curing ribbon to the lollipops and suckers and place loose candies on top of the Styrofoam. Add even more candy by taping plastic bags of candy to the sides of the bucket or container. The larger the bucket or container the more candy can be used so why not go big. Use multiple buckets or containers in the center and on the sides of the party table - or anywhere else that makes for an interesting composition on the party table.

Water Wonderland

For a fun Water Wonderland theme, place various water toys and shells that can fit inside the containers. Tape fish and other underwater images to the sides of the containers. Group the containers so the images and other toys inside the clear containers can be seen. Around the bottom of the containers, tie blue balloons with curling ribbon (fill balloons with helium). Use aqua theme balloons or tape underwater images to the balloons.

Fruit Centerpieces

Fruit centerpieces are super simple to make. Gather the desired fruit from strawberries, grapes, oranges, to any other type of fruit that the party guests, and the celebrant, will love. There are multiple ways to make a fruit centerpiece, which include slicing up fruit and placing in clear glass containers. Use one type of fruit or different kinds and place slices and whole fruits of various sizes in the clear glass containers. Another option is to make a fruit bouquet with slices of mango, strawberries, and kiwi. The ultimate and very yummy benefit of a fruit centerpiece is that party guests can eat the centerpiece during the course of the party; not to mention the fact that children can pick and choose their favorite fruit and help with the centerpiece process.

For a larger party with many tables, select centerpieces that are easy to make in bulk. For an intimate party with one or two party tables, party hosts can devote more time and add numerous details to each centerpiece. Regardless of the party theme, spending time on a lovely decorated centerpiece will surely earn plenty of compliments for the party host.
