subject: Home Wind Turbine Power For The People [print this page]

In years past, home wind turbine power was only used by people who could not get access to utility-supplied power. Now those days are gone and more and more people are buying home wind turbine kits and mounting them in cities and in towns all over the country.

These are the reasons the home wine turbine has become so popular of late...

Utility supplied energy has become too expensive - We are running out of fuel. This is a fact we all must get used to. The energy that we are using now is creeping up in price at a steady but sustained pace. As we have all seen at the gas pump is that prices have risen dramatically in response to not only world events, but also shrinking supplies of fuels. We are having to guess more or less, at the amount of fuel reserves that are left in the Middle East. We do not know for sure how much reserves are left in Saudi Arabia but we know they are shrinking and we haven't found anything to replace them in quite a while.

Utility supplied energy is killing the planet - As we all know, the most toxic gases that are ruining our planet come from the power plants that make our electricity that are fueling our lifestyles. We all want to continue to consume electricity and a lot more of it, but that same desire is causing our air to be clogged with pollution and those same gasses that pollute the air are also influencing climate change.

Electricity made in power plants is going away fast - The pace at which we are losing the traditional fuels that we have used to make your electricity is alarmingly accelerating. Oil, gas, and coal are all of limited quantity and one day they will be totally gone. We are not doing a great job of transitioning quickly to the next source of fuel. So we need to make a step in the direction of renewables, like residential wind turbines, and we just need to figure out a better way to go about this.

In the final analysis, home wind turbine power is here to stay. Even when we come up with an alternate source of energy to replace the fossil fuels that we now burned, I am a firm believer that we will still use renewable sources of power, like wind energy and solar because once these devices are paid for, all of the energy that we create with them after that will be free.
