subject: How To Make Your Tv Lift [print this page] The idea of lifting the TV set is simply to make the TV being set at a higher altitude and also make it protected from the eyes of burglars. The whole process of lifting your TV set can personally being accomplished by you if you have the expertise and right knowledge of AC or DC current or have no problems dealing with wires and attaching electrical motors like electric actuator and linear actuators and also to regenerate the power supply from the TV socket. If you are all set up of making your TV lift then rest assured that fewer hardware are required along with electric actuator and linear actuators and also be specialized in handling power tools also. If you feel that all these criterion are simply perfect with you then go for it else call a professional to do for you.
Well there are some instructions given below, if you are willing give it a try yourself. Read all the given points and do exactly, if you think you are a layman, the final result will be just marvelous that you would be just proud of your hidden talent. These are as follows:
* When you visit your local hardware store, you may look to purchase a pair of right angled or L-shaped cabinet which is used to give support the whole your TV from beneath and also help in lifting the TV higher;
* These L-Shaped cabinets should be put at an equal distance from one another and that too at the topmost part of the cabinet which are bearing inner selves. Now, take a marker, carefully mark lines along the L-shaped cabinet and then remove those;
* The part which you marked with your TV L-shaped cabinet would then being sawed using a motor-saw machine carefully. Remove the left out portion of the wooden plank and gently smoothen the surface of the cabinet cut-out. Use sand-paper as well as slightly rougher edged sand-paper if you feel that the edge are rougher simply by touching;
* Now, gently lift your TV and place it over the DC electric actuator or linear actuators. Through the four dots if the electric actuator or linear actuators line should be drawn so that the marking are visible from the TV L-Shaped cabinet holder;
* Take the L-shaped cabinet holder, hold it in your hand in such a manner that the holes of the L-shaped cabinet holder is facing the dots made by you and then using your drill machine, drill the whole part;
* Again, hold the TV L-shaped cabinet holder along the top of DC electric actuator or linear actuators, so that the TV L-shaped cabinet holders are lined up perfectly with the DC electric actuator or linear actuators. Simply screw them up with the help of few metal screws attached perfectly with your TV L-shaped cabinet holders holes;
* On the left hand side of the electric actuator or linear actuators simply put the cabinet below the holes pointing to the electric actuator or linear actuators bottom side and also screw them to the cabinets bottom with a screw-driver;
* Now, the two wires that fixed with the electric actuator or linear actuators should be gently stripped off, not much inches each. Also stripe inch insulation from 12 V DC adopter attached along;
* The wire attached with DC electric actuator or linear actuators should properly be fixed and take one wire out of the couple of wires fixed with the12 V DC adopter attached and also wrap the newly made connections and make all the wires wrapped with one another to stay fixed;
* Take a wire cutter and cut foot wire and then simply inches from either side end of the insulation;
* Put the soldering for heating for atleast 5 minutes and then solder both ends of the electric wire and let one end of the wire have direct contact with micro switch and make a colder soldering afterwards;
* The positive end side of the12 V DC adopter should properly be soldered with the free end wires and also solder the other end of the wire also with the micro switch;
* Now, unplug soldering iron from the socket once you finish soldering the free end side of the electric wire along with the negative side of the power switch;
* Again gently, pull up the micro switch upwards from the holes made and then gently keep the micro switch on the top end of the cabinet just beside its holes. Take a screw driver and simply tight the screws with the cabinets top hand side;
* From the 12 V DC adopter plug in the AC power and place it under the wall socket. Put your TV over the TV L-shaped cabinet holder in such a way that it fits comfortably inside the cabinet and plug in the TV plug and re do the connection on;
* Gently press the micro switch and monitor your TV is lifting or not. Wait a while the whole lifting process continues and at the end press the stop lift button placed at the side of DC electric actuator or linear actuators sufficiently to be viewed inside the cabinet;
* Lastly, from the side hand side of DC electric actuator or linear actuators the screws should be plugged in. Once you set the required height of lifting your TV, press the stop lift button so that the micro switch automatically lowers your TV set placed perfectly back inside the cabinet.
