You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD." Of course one has to wonder, if that's true, why do we even have to verbalize such? Could the answer be that WE need to HEAR ourselves say those things? I know why same-sex individuals want their marriages recognized and BLESSED by the government; however, we all need to grow up and realize that governments are not the measure of LEGITIMACY. We get that from the ethical principle which direct us and not from politics! When we ask for the government to pass judgment on any and everything that has to do with the "affairs of the heart", we confer upon them a credibility that they do not possess. Why do you think the Tea Party has gained so much traction? Some 2,000 years of history clearly show us that political power corrupts! Listen, ALL governments LIE. Be a person Republican or Democrat, once in office, the objective is to INCREASE POWER and again history shows that comes about through manipulation and deceit. America is increasingly in a dangerous climate depending more and more upon the Federal government. There is but ONE GOD (Deut. 6:4), and he is neither a HE, nor the United States Federal government!
