subject: Tips For Fooling The Burglars [print this page]

Locks, cupboards or dresser drawers wont save your cash and valuables from the intruding creeps. So what can you do? Read on to know how you can ensure the safety of your things. Here are some simple but effective tips to fool the burglars.

Here is my tip for keeping your things safe from burglars hide them in plain sight. They are most likely to be robbed from the locks, cupboards or dresser drawers, and they are least likely to be taken off a kitchen or a bathroom. Robbers run on tight schedule, you know, and they dont really have the time to do a detailed search of all the objects in a house.

The stuff they look out first on arrival is the kind of hardened safes and cupboards. And if they still have some time, theyll look beneath the cushions and the bed sheet. In the rush to barge in, get the loot and get out, they tend to overlook the scrutiny of a can of soda, carpet cleaner or engine degreaser. You can ride on the modus operandi of the robbers to tide over their ulterior motives.

Use diversion safes and you are going to have the last laugh in your encounter in absentia with the robbers. Hide your cash and valuables in items as boring as hair spray and bathroom cleaner, and I can bet the intruding guys wont be able to lay hand on it even if theyre on a leisurely day. Those people are known to get in, bag whatever they get and rush out. Indeed, there are some who could decide to take a quick glance on TV or a grab of the bread, but it is least likely that theyll break open everything in the house. And if youre using something as burglar alarm along with the alternative safes, theyre most likely to flee at the earliest, without even bothering to look at the closest safe.

Safes are up there in a myriad of guises that means youve plenty of options to choose from. My favorite is the flower pot and floor cleaner, but it may not be necessarily your choice. Pick up anything that can mingle easily with other objects in your bathroom, drawing room and kitchen. 99 times out of 100, itll escape the attention of the thieves.

Most criminals are average people when it comes to IQ, while some of them indeed cross the clever line. So youve to be cleverer to ambush them. And you can do it by using the alternative safes. I can tell you; even the smart ones wont be able to reach them.

I discovered these safes last year when I went to purchase my shaving cream. I found a hollowed out can of shaving cream that could be used to hide cash. I thought it was useful, took it home and put it up on a bathroom with some cash and valuables inside. Once, when I was out of town, the robbers decided to visit my apartment. When I returned, I found everything in my place upside down, save the can with all the things as safe as the moon in the sky.

Hiding things in diversion safes is a smart move. Most burglars arent that smart. They would have got a job if they were.
