subject: An Inside Look At The Lg Optimus One Features And Capabilities [print this page]

It is a tough one to come out with new models that have new features and functions as can be seen in the LG Optimus One. The consumer market is a demanding one, and they want everything including the kitchen sink, if possible. Users expect everything, but they want the package as small as possible. So it is not surprising at all for any business such as a cell phone manufacturer to give and take here and there. Here is our take on the LG Optimus One along with a discussion of its features.

People in this modern technological age will relate well to the Optimus One smartphone. This Android smartphone follows in continuing model line from LG.

Making only subtle modifications, the Optimus has come quite a ways in terms of technology. To increase its overall speed, Google added a 600 MHz processor within the smartphone which was a dramatic improvement. Don't worry! This smartphone also has the ability to take pictures of your loved ones and capture videos that you can later upload. You are limited to daytime photos, however, because this camera is not flash capable. The resolution for the display is solid, but will not have the high quality of much more expensive smart phones.

Like so many other cell and smart phones, the Optimus One has an integrated camera. The camera is very similar to other phones in that the images are not necessarily outstanding, but they will pass muster. There is no capability of taking pictures at night as there is no built-in flash. But you have to figure that most people have digital cameras that can be used for night pictures. You will not find any type of features for stabilizing images during shooting. So just use the phone camera for shots that are not truly important to you.

The touch screen on the Optimus One is integrated with the browser which is of very sound quality. Still, even though it is a solid browser, you can still find higher end browsers on the better cameras. But, with the Optimus One you can quickly zoom in either direction by pinching the screen. Once done, you will notice that the on screen text is automatically adjusted to fit the monitor screen size. Probably a combination of memory and processing capability, but just be aware of sluggish operations when viewing flash intensive sites. What will happen is the entire browser functions will become a bit on the slow side.

Apps are very hot right now, and have been, and that is why LG can integrate with Android Market - meaning use of a huge number of apps; like 70,000. Yes, we know how popular apps are, and we like them ourselves. You will need to use the LG App Advisor in order to access all those apps, though. If you do not want to pay for a higher end model phone, then the LG Optimus One phone could be something for you to check out.
