I felt like I needed a set of irons that were more forgiving and that would still give me the workability I needed. As it was time for a change I went down to the Callaway fitting centre in Leatherhead, Surrey. I tried both the X- Forged and the X-22 Tours. I did like them both but when the strike was slightly out the X-22 Tours were far better. I tried with various shaft combinations too, both the normal project X and the flighted version. I finally decided on the flighted 6.0 shafts as the softer tip gave better trajectory.
