subject: Thankful For Barbecue Restaurants [print this page]

I like to cook to meatI like to cook to meat. In fact, I love to cook meat. Pork, beef, and chicken: I very much enjoy cooking these for myself and for others. With the joys of uploading pics online and social media, I think it is fun to share my tasty creations online with friends. Though I do broil and sometimes fry my food, grilling is my choice of cooking method. Sometimes I like to keep the recipe simple and just let the meat's juices flavor the food and in other instances I like to add sea salt, ground black pepper, and other dry spices on the meat before, during, and after the cooking process. The one cooking method I have not tried and quite frankly have no way to try out, is true barbecuing. I just do not have the right equipment or time to do it this way. But all hope is not lost because barbecue restaurants allow me to bask in the best BBQ.

I am working a full eight hour day and live about an hour and a half from my home; I do not have much time to properly cook or even prepare New York barbecue. Needless to say I do not have the right equipment to correctly barbecue it. So what do I do? I head over to a local BBQ restaurant. These restaurants are a literal godsend to people like me who do not have the right resources to barbecue meats. I do not have to take huge chunks out of my time to prepare the meat and then even more time to cook it. Considering it takes hours to truly barbecue something it would easily be a whole day affair; I cannot afford to do this on a weekday and I refuse to do this on a weekend when I have other plans. Though I have several, for this reason alone I am grateful for barbecue restaurants.

Another reason I like that such restaurants exist is that they are experts at BBQ; truth be told, I am far from an expert chef let alone a famous pitmaster. Think of it in these terms: imagine you got all the equipment necessary to BBQ, then spent the time to prepare it and cook it, and then taking the first bite and finding out it does not taste good at all. You have just wasted a majority of the day on food you will just throw away. BBQ masters have years of cooking experience, knowledge, and secret spices and formulae that make their barbecue so much better than the average person trying their hand at it. I would rather eat food prepared by an expert than something prepared by my own unsure hand.

BBQ restaurants are a blessing to fans and everyone who love eating good food. May they never go out of style.
