subject: Get Off Your Butt [print this page]

Many of us feel that there must be some secret to success that everyone around us seems to be privy to except ourselves. We look at those that have achieved phenomenal success in their lives, their jobs and businesses and see the evidence if such success expensive houses, luxury cars, seemingly incessant amounts of money and the first thing that pops into our minds is What do they do for a living?.

The word evidence is in italics because often times the amount of work they have put into achieving such high levels of success goes unnoticed. The discipline and commitment they have consistently applied sometimes for years before suddenly becoming rich is overlooked.

As a rule, I always believe that when someone makes something looks easy on the exterior or live a life filled with phenomenal accomplishments, then there must be some serious hard work taking place in the background.

Now heres the kicker. The book you hold in your hand is quite different from a number of other motivational books in that it exemplifies hard work and action as two of the key ways in which success (long-term, lasting and real success) can be earned.

Everything we have discussed so far is vitally important - Having a clear image of your goal in mind. Visualising that image constantly. Cultivating empowering thoughts and letting go of toxic beliefs.

Letting go of fear and using our failures as learning opportunities. Consciously changing our attitude so that we get a more favourable outcome. Being aware of our thoughts. Having s strategy. Believing in ourselves and being

committed to the process of achieving success. All of these are fundamental, however an important element that holds all of this together is hard work and consistent effort.

Like I say to many of our students once you truly realise and accept that nothing is going to fall on your lap, no one owes you anything, there are no shortcuts in life, you have to go out and get what you want out of life, your success of failure is entirely in your hands a paradigm shift develops.
