subject: Beware Of Fraud While Renting A Furnished Apartment [print this page]

Freedom and flexibility are two chief aspects which make furnished apartments the right choice for short stays abroad. Choosing an apartment for rent is not a cake walk. The three things you must keep in mind before renting an apartment is its location, amenities and affordability. An ideal apartment will be located on a prime location; will offer a lot of amenities at an affordable price.

T is highly likely that people who visit other countries for studies or business trips drag their furniture baggage every time and pay heavily for shipping it; on the contrary they would prefer to have a furnished or semi-furnished house. Though quoted at a higher rate as compared to hotels, they are definitely worth it.

Shipping all your belongings to a distant place or buying the whole stuff required for converting a house into a home, is nothing but an example of sheer extravagance. And if the family has to shift to a new location after one year again, the same furniture would not fit into the new house. A furnished apartment consists of basic furniture like sofa, dining table and appliances like air conditioner, kitchen utensils, internet, telephone, and heater. Here are a few things that you must keep in mind before renting a fully furnished apartment.

Read the final print of agreement

Make sure that you read everything carefully before you sign the dotted line. Visit the property personally and ask for the appliances they are offering you. Some small furnished apartments come with a small kitchenette, not a full kitchen. Look for details like location, and amenities like elevators etc.

Look whether it suits your requirement

If you are going on a business trip, you must look for options that include Internet and a space to set up your laptop. If you cannot pay a visit to the apartment, you can ask if the apartment is quiet, as you need to focus on your work. It should not be located near some bar, disco or busy street, as you won't be able to have a sound sleep.

Ask whether they allow pets

Narrow down your search according to your requirements. If you are a proud pet owner, who wants to take his pet along, you must ask the apartment rentals beforehand. Some furnished apartments welcome pets, while others don't .

Furnished rentals are bliss in disguise if you"re just moving to a new city. You can ask them about the extra incentives they are offering.
