How to Get Fit Fast - Use Your Phone

To be honest, I'm a bit of a techno geek. I love the way that technology has transformed our lives. Can you even remember life without a smart phone? How many phone numbers do you actually remember? And life without a PC or Laptop? In the words of Tony Soprano, "Forget about it!"

Let's face it; we've become addicted to technology.

Enough of the preamble you say? I thought this article was going to show me how to get fit fast using my phone? How can a phone get you fit? Well the answer is applications. Yep! There are phone apps that can teach you how to get fit fast.

One of the best, in my opinion is - JEFIT. This is one awesome app! It is clearly one of the best apps on the android market and the best part about it is that it's free.

It's got some great features:

Workout Planner

oUser friendly routine manager.

oCreate your own workout routines easily using built-in exercises or customize your own

oAdjustable sets for each exercise

oCreate Super-Sets

oCreate multiple routines - Bulking, Cutting etc.

Smart Logging System

oAutomatically input weights and reps

oAutomatically record your 1 Rep Maximum (1RM)

oAutomatically save your best lift for each exercise

oView log details easily using Calendar Mode

Progress Tracking

oTrack lifting and body stats via Graphic Chart

oBody fat, height, weight and body measurement

oAutomatically calculate your Body Mass Index (BMI)

These are just a few of the features in this powerful application.

My favorite is integrated logs. It keeps track of vital information. For those who want to improve on your lifts and/or reps each time this is invaluable info to have at your fingertips.

And it allows you to save the just completed exercise and starts a timer for the next.

In closing I find JEFIT to be an excellent exercise app.

Pros

oTons of features

oProgress Logs

oStats

oDatabase of Exercises and Customizable Exercises

oAnimation showing correct exercise form

oAbility to setup multiple routines and easily switch between them

Cons

oNot quite as intuitive as it could be
