subject: When Solar Goes Mainstream [print this page]

Can you imagine what it would be like if every home supplied 30% or more of their own electricity with a personally owned solar energy system? I remember in elementary school one of my friends didnt have a telephone and although we all liked him we thought it was weird that they didnt have a phone. It is the same now with cell phones. If you run into someone and they dont have a cell phone you think its weird. There was a point in time when people said there will never be radio in everyones home.

Solar Panels on every building

There is no doubt in my mind that solar is the next radio, tv, computer, cell phone, and iPod. The day will be here in our lifetime when we see solar go main stream. It will be the same with electric cars. I am confident that within the next 20 years (probably 10) most of our neighbors will have solar just like they have broadband Internet, tv, and cell phones. That market will not be driven by solar energy credits either, it will be driven by its the right thing to do and its the only thing to do if you dont want an energy bill that is equal to 50% of your mortgage payment.

How much will you pay for electricity over the next 15 years

We are in this business because we see it as the only option people will have. Most people dont realize that in the next 15 years they will spend $30k or more on electricity. We dont know how much electricity (or gas) will cost next month. How much will it be next year, or in 10? Our solar energy customers know because they already paid for their electricity and are profiting from it. Do you want to know what your electricity will cost or do you want to let the utility companies tell you what it will cost? In most places in central Pennsylvania solar is already cheaper than what you are paying the utility companies now. Think about your energy goals and let us know what they are and we will help you put an energy plan together so you can profit from solar energy too.
