The city ofHoustoncan provide great opportunities to the people who are living here or the people who are planning to move here. Many people are very curious about this great city, the events held in the city and the places to visit.Houstonis the fourth largest city ofUnitedStates and the largest one in the state ofTexas. Like always many events are planned to be held in the city in order to provide entertainment to the people living here. The prominent events planned in the month of March are:

31st Annual K-9 Fun Run & Walk

Planned to be held on March 25, 2012 at Houston Humane Society, 1100 Bagby, Houston, 77002

It is theHoustons oldest dog walk in which participants either have a one mile competitive run with their dogs or just have a one mile non competitive run without the dog. You can also enjoy the post run party in the park with music, vendor booths, dog training sessions, food & drink and costume contest. This is a great chance to spend a Sunday with your friends and family. Entry fee for the event is $25 before the day of event and $30 on the event day. Registration includes race shirts designed by artist Jim Tweedy, goody bag, race bib and entry to post race party. The registration begins at 8:00 am on the day of the event and the race begins at 10:00 am.

40th Buffalo Bayou Regatta

Planned to be held on March 10, 2012 at Buffalo Bayou

The people of Houstonfrom all age group are invited to participate in the 15 mile long USCA sanctioned race along the Buffalo Bayou. Register for the event, whether you want to run competitively or jus to spend good time. For the people who do not want to participate in the race, can have outdoor fun and cheer the racers. You will enjoy with free live music, food & drink and awards ceremony after the end of the race at SesquicentennialPark. Visit the events website, http://www.buffalobayou.org/ for further details.

A Tapestry of Voices: Collaboration

Event planned for February 21, 2012 - March 06, 2012 at Bay Area Chorus of Greater Houston,1111 St. Joseph Parkway,6823 Cypresswood Drive,Houston, Spring, 77002

"Collaboration of Community Voices" shares the best choral music in two of the most distinctive concert locations in the city ofHouston. the two part event will take place on Feb 21, 2012, 7:30 pm at 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, 77002, with the Bay Area Mixed Chorus, Bay Area Women's Chorus, Moores School of Music Concert Chorale, and the University of Houston. on Mar 6, 2012, at the Centrum atCypressCreekCommunity Center,6823 Cypresswood Drive, Spring, TX 77379, a concert will feature the Bay Area Mixed Chorus, Bay Area Women's Chorus, Cypress Creek Community Chorale, and Klein High School Chorale.

Tickets are $10 in advance and on door $15 for adults.

The number of opportunities to have fun is many in the city and so is the number ofHoustonevents. Many of these houston events are organized for specific people but many of these events are for everyone who wants to enjoy their lives in the city.
