subject: How To Determine Which Pool Cleaner Is Best For Your Inground Pool [print this page]

There is generally one type of pool cleaner for inground pools. This is called an automatic pool cleaner. Automatic pool cleaners are sub divided into 3 classifications which are suction pool cleaners, pressure side cleaners and robotic cleaners. These 3 differs in a lot of way. It differs by their functionality, price and usage.

There are a lot of brands out in the market that may confuse you when choosing the best pool cleaner. For automatic suction cleaners, this type of machine is merely attached to a skimmer and sucks dirt and debris when a pool pump is turned on. Suction cleaners are best when it comes to removing dirt as it is also affordable for everyone. It is also easy to operate. The disadvantage of suction cleaners is about the size of debris it can remove. Once this machine tries removing huge debris from the pool, it tends to stop the suction and the debris gets clog in the pool pump.

The other type of pool cleaner is called pressure side pool cleaners. While the suction pool cleaner only requires a pool pump to operate, this pressure side pool cleaner requires a more advanced pump to circulate the water in the pool. This machine is best in removing leaves and huge debris from your pool. If a suction cleaner clogs up because of the size of the debris it sucks, this pressure side pool cleaner works the other way around. The best part of this machine is that it has an internal bag that collects the debris. This is best for large sized inground pools. There are also different brands of pressure side pool cleaners you can get in the market. They are typically expensive compared to the suction pool cleaners.

The last classification of an automatic pool cleaner is called robotic pool cleaners. From the word itself, it means it is something you can control, as if it has a mind of its own. This type of pool cleaner uses electricity to move around the pool. It also has its internal filter which is where the dirt is stored once the cleaner starts the movement in the pool. This is probably the most expensive type of pool cleaner and the easiest machine to use. The only thing you have to do with a robotic pool cleaner is to turn it on and throw it in the pool.

Pool cleaners have been available ever since swimming pools were created. It has been a must that a swimming pool is well cleansed and maintained by owners to avoid allergic reactions for users. The thing about pool cleaners is that every now and then, manufacturers make it to a point that consumers enjoy cleaning swimming pools using high technology to simplify the way consumers clean their pools.
