subject: Mlm Lead And How To Get Them [print this page] In case you havent realised it your network marketing business is just like any other business but harder. If you have, say, a bakery shop you would have a shop window to display your cakes etc. and, on the assumption that the cakes are good and not totally overpriced and your shop is not up some dark alley of a dead end, the passing trade would look, like and buy! And from their word of mouth recommendations you would get more and more customers.
However your network marketing business doesnt have the benefit of a shop window to attract passing trade so what do you do? You pester family and friends and spend good money on lists of MLM leads. You can only pester friends and family for so long and quite often the lists are, quite frankly, rubbish and a total waste of money! At best this method will only get you a slightly better than cold market and if you think this is going to make you rich in MLM you are sadly mistaken. The only way you will succeed, and hopefully get rich, in MLM marketing is to get to the right people.
Who are the right people I hear you ask? These are the people who are actually interested in your product or opportunity as opposed to people who have simply responded to a newspaper ad asking if they are interested in a home based opportunity. The only way you will succeed in MLM is to generate a non-stop flow of these targeted leads. Having some kind of MLM lead generation is the new, modern way to grow your own MLM business and put you on the same basis as all the high fliers in the game who have a lead generation sytstem running 24/7.
There are many different forms of advertising you can use to generate these targeted leads, such as PPC (Pay per click), E-mail marketing, writing articles, press releases, video marketing and using one, or more, of the classified ad sites to be found on the internet, such as Craigslist or Gumtree (for the UK).
If you want a really effective lead generation system you need to be able to utilise all of these effectively and Ill try and explain a couple of them now.
Lets start with the internet classified ad sites. For starters using these sites is not something that had ever been suggested to me to try and Ive found, by talking to other lower end network marketers that it had never been suggested to them either. But believe me it certainly got me a better response than lists of leads ever got! These sites all work in basically the same way ie you compose and post your ad in the correct category for a particular city or town, pay your fee (some of them are free) and sit back and wait for the responses. There are, however, several things which you should be aware of. Here in the UK, Gumtree gives, at the moment, 5 free adverts per year for jobs, except for the London area for which you have to pay, and once you have used up your 5 you have to pay a small insertion fee. The ads on Gumtree start at the top of the list and gradually work their way down as further ads go on line after yours. You can pay to get your ad featured or reinserted at the top of the list but, personally, Ive never done that. You do get more free ads if you are not advertising a job but they are quite vigilant and ads for network marketing or MLM opportunities in other areas are quickly removed and a warning is issued, so safer to stick with the jobs category than risk being banned!
Although I havent used it yet my research indicates that Craigslist works in much the same way although it would appear that they charge for all ads with no limit on the number that you can post. It would seem, however, that every ad needs to be unique and different from the previous one you posted which could stretch the imagination a bit. That is not a problem with Gumtree where you simply cut and paste the ad for a different city. The only other problem Ive found with Craigslist is that you cant use it in the UK to advertise Network Marketing or MLM marketing. Dont know why but there it is.
As Ive said Ive not used Craigslist yet so any help and advice will be appreciated.
The other advertising method Id like to briefly write about is E-mail marketing. Again, being quite new to Network Marketing, Ive not gone down this route but I have spent some time researching it and it would appear that it could really boost the numbers of your MLM leads, as opposed to getting them in ones and twos. There must be thousands of Email marketing companies worldwide with literally millions of qualified opt in prospects ie targetted leads that you could send your leads to and a lot of them are target based ie pay for what they can deliver, and some even offer guarantees such as full money refunds if you dont cover your costs. Confident or what? It would appear that more or less all of them work by sending leads to your capture page, which means that you need to be able to know how to create a capture page as well as understand how such things as pay per click work.
If you havent got it by now what Im saying is that Ive learned the hard way that to succeed in creating a successful MLM business that will generate money on an ongoing basis you need to be able to generate leads 24/7 and automatically. Lists of leads are out!
