Im the same with butter, I love a certain brand and my husband used to moan saying that we where spending double the amount and it didnt taste any different. One day he then admitted that it was far nicer than anything he purchases and we should stick to it in the future.
I suppose its often down to our taste buds but sometimes its down to something we had as a child and nothing is good enough in comparision. My favourite type of crisps have been since I was a child and they where given to me as a treat out of a vending machine after a swimming lesson each week. I have that lovely memory each time I open a pack, which Is nice.
Im the same with equestrian products and always will be, I dont want any pair of horse stirrups, I want mountain horse safety stirrups. I know they arent cheap and you can pick up horse stirrups from some places for around fifteen pounds but I like mountain horse safety stirrups even if they are a lot more money. I can appreciate them each time I ride in them which is really nice. My horse doesnt appreciate the difference and Im sure many other riders wouldnt but I do.
Im sure there are things, which you like to have which other things just dont compare to. Youll find there is especially at this time of year. Many people dont any mince pies other than their grandmothers or there are no other Christmas dinners like the one your mother makes. Its funny how we all have different things but they all mean just as much to us. Try and think of yours.
