However we work a bit differently. We prefer you know what you are going to have a look at right from the start; after all, you will uncover the problems upon inspection nevertheless. But when we reveal problems up front, we can corroborate the selling price of the yacht.
This ranking guide has been created to provide you with a synopsis of the boat's overall shape as it concerns what you might require to do to prepare her for use. Each and every boat is ranked based upon the reported condition, available gadgets and/or the selling broker's personal inspection of boat. The rating guide is not to be misinterpreted a ranking provided by a marine surveyor to ascertain worth.
BRISTOL CONDITION - is provided to a yacht that has been kept in mint or bristol shape, with lots of extras, the boat is better than factory new. All electronics and equipment are up-to-the-minute, hull and interior are damage free. All equipment has been repeatedly replaced. All equipment works. Nothing needs to be finished or added for instant utilization. Turn key! Such boat is unusual.
ABOVE AVERAGE - is provided to a vessel that has had above average care and is outfitted with recent electronics and machinery; many added features are at hand. Printed maintenance logs indicate constant improvements and service by her owner. Everything works. Yacht has no mechanical or structural problems and very few if any surface issues. Interior and exterior areas sparkle and canvas is like new. Engine room is incredibly spotless and organized. This boat is turn key, ready to cruise!
AVERAGE - is given to a vessel that has had regular type of attention. Her electronics and equipment are out-of-date but will function. The majority of equipment is original and vessel shows ordinary wear and tear. Isinglass is usable but might need changing before long. Inside and outside surfaces may require work to restore their sparkle. The yacht will need some minor servicing, detailing and waxing before it is prepared to cruise.
FAIR - is supplied to a vessel that requires some major work to get her ready for cruising. Various equipment may not work. The vessel requires a number of upgrades like electronics, isinglass, bottom work, interior wood and fiberglass repairs. She will probably need significant maintenance to permit care free boating.
POOR - is given to a yacht that is considered a "fixer upper". There is an adequate amount of the framework and equipment available to refurbish her to usable shape.
