The 2011 Holiday Season is fast approachingThe 2011 Holiday Season is fast approaching. Santas list is growing! Black Friday is only a week away, but how do you know what to buy? Fiercewireless has posted a list of top Smartphones and Tablets from the various service providers to help us out.

Topping the list seems to be the iPhone 4S. It is available through Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. Starting at $199 for 16GB, this Smartphone has beaten all sales records, including those from previous versions of the iPhone. With a dual-core Apple A5 processor, an 8-megapixel camera with advanced optics and full 1080p HD resolution video recording, this latest iPhone is tempting even the anti-Apple crowd.

HTC seems to be second on the popularity list of Smartphones across the various service providers. Verizon has the HTC Rezound ($299), AT&T has the HTC Titan ($199) and HTC Vivid ($199), Sprint has the HTC EVO Design 4G ($99) and HTC EVO 4G View ($399), and T-Mobile has the HTC Amaze 4G ($259) and HTC Radar 4G ($99).

Motorola comes in third with Verizon and Sprint but isnt included in lists from AT&T or T-Mobile. Verizon is showing off the new Motorola Droid RAZR ($299), while Sprint has the Motorola Photon 4G ($199). The Droid RAZR is reported to be the thinnest Smartphone available at only 7.1 mm thick. With a Keflar case and Gorilla Glass screen, it is a rugged Smartphone as well.

Tablets are going to be big this year for gift giving. Of course at the top of the list is the iPad 2 from Apple (starting at $499 for 16GB). Both Verizon and AT&T have the iPad 2 available. No other tablet comes close to the iPad 2 in popularity, but Amazons Kindle Fire seems to be taking a bite out of the market at $199. The Kindle Fire doesnt have a camera or many features of the iPad 2, but the price is luring people in to buy.

T-Mobile is promoting Huaweis Springboard Tablet for $179 after a $50 rebate. Its a little 7 inch tablet running the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS, runs on a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, and has both a front facing camera as well as the rear face camera.

Whats on your wish list? Are you hoping for a new tablet? The polls show more people want a tablet rather than a laptop this year. Personally, I am hoping for an iPad 2 and if I dont get that in my stocking, I will wait until next Spring to see if Amazon comes out with a better Kindle tablet, one with a camera.
