On this episode, Finn will raise a question about God and faith as he believes to have seen the face of Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich (thus the title Grilled Cheesus). On the other hand, Kurt also faces a crisis of his own, when his father Burt Hummer will have an accident which will put him in a life-and-death situation. To help Kurt in facing this difficult situation in his life Mercedes takes him to church.
