subject: Czestochowa- Miraculous Black Madonna Shrine [print this page] A Black Virgin or a Black Madonna is a painting of Mary that originates in Poland, which depicts dark or black skin. This does not mean that Virgin Mary is explicitly being portrayed a black African but it was due to the color of the material being used, such as dark wood. Other images had become darkened over time due to candle soot. Whatever it is made of or whatever is it color the most important fact is that it was miraculous image.

Shrine this year 15th August 2009.
I was suffering from multiple sclerosis i.e. partial paralysis. I could somehow walk with the help of clutches. The doctors said this paralysis will later become 100% and I would not be able to move any muscle. My husband left me on my own with two young children.
Later it was getting more and more difficult to take care of myself and also 2 children as the illness was getting worse and worse. I was praying to God to give me death and to find someone to look after my children.
30 years ago, in 1979, I had a dream, seeing Our Lady calling her to Jasna Gora Shrine. So I went for a pilgrimage to the shrine and the big miracle happened. I dropped my clutches but discovered I can stand and even walk. I just broke into tears.
I thanked Our Lady of Czestochowa for giving me a new life
Annas Miraculous Story
I was suffering from different problems related to my arms, legs, and also spine.
I was on the special Holy mass during this of Candle Mass and I was lighting the candles and started praying to the Holy spirit but I honestly speaking didnt feel anything special.
After 2 days I felt sick with temperature and all the pains & symptoms I had in my arms, leg and spine became very intensive. So I had to stay for a month in bed and prayed longer than before. After a month I got cured of the flu but miraculously all my pain and suffering related to my arms, legs and spine.
Today I know that this flu was just a pretext as Jesus healed me from not only the flu but also all physical the problems I had before. In addition to that I experienced spiritual healing as well.
Today I am a different person Jesus made my faith, love and hope stronger and fulfilled my heart with joy.
Now I am grateful to Our Lord for what he did in my life and now everything is bright, simple and easy for me. Jesus healed my relation with God, myself and other people just healed.

Christinas Miraculous Story
I had 2 children and had suzerain delivery. When I conceived my third child the doctors said, it would risk my life and these would be little chance of survival for the new born child. Hence they strongly recommended abortion. I knew I would never do that, no matter what! So I left it in the hands of our Lady of Czestochowa and would do my prayers every day.
When the time came, miraculously, my son was born totally safe and I was safe as well.

I was blind from the age of 12 years and after the tragedy I accepted the fact and carried on with life. But after few years I was getting very depressed and was very angry with god, thinking why me?
I was thing of coming suicide but after meeting few pilgrims from the Shrine of Czestochowa, new hope was born.
I started praying everyday and had a special devotion to Our Lady of Czestochowa. After 2 years I requested my neighbor to help me go for a pilgrimage to the Shrine. Then the life changing miracle happened. I was inside the chapel of our lady praying and crying, all of a sudden I could see the icon of our lady I could see everything.
Fr. Melchior say Jasna Gora Shrine is not a polyclinic, all the miraculous healings have one purpose, that is, to make peoples faith stronger, to enliven their prayers and to make them closer to God.
