Should the recipient wish to sell the house the total grant amount will be changed into a federal loan with an interest rate that will be charged from the date in which the grant was issued.
Furthermore, the Credit Card Reform Act 2009 is not a government grant to help the people pay for their credit card debt, but it is an act that limits the interest rate that the credit card companies can charge, and it also has a stipulation that companies should not take advantage of the credit card owners that are already in debt.
As a conclusion, the notion that the government is giving free money to anyone who needs it is not true. Thus, you should be cautious if you come across with information online pawning about the free money from the government.
