subject: The Light For Jesus [print this page]

Most people who come to a conference are expecting to learn something. After all, you're coming to hear Joyce teach but you may be surprised at some of the other things you learn. For instance, "hand of hope" is the missions outreach of Joyce Meyer ministries and you'll find out what is happening through that. And there are, of course, a lot of teachings and resources available so here's Chad to tell you about that.

You guys are getting some teachings, I see. Why? What did you want teachings for?

Studying the bible. Figuring out what to read, how to study, how to get the most out of it.

You're a young guy. What would you be doing with teaching resources from a woman who is, let's just say, older than you? Why would you have resources from her?

God is for everybody. No matter how old you are or what kind of race you are, it doesn't really matter.

Joyce Meyer has tons of teachings and the reason is God spoke to her to write down the teachings, write down the things that she had learned, put them into books and teachings because people need to get these lessons. Hey, we're here with the princess of the day. You won the princess of the day at the conference, just one of the fun things that we do. How was the conference for you?

The conference is life-changing. What changed in you over this weekend? So much, like not living by my feelings anymore and really trying to get deeper into the word so that I can learn to use it for other people. I want to be a light for Jesus.

Joyce is almost 65 and you're 14 but you had fun? Yeah. How could it be fun for a 14-year-old? What's fun about it? "Delirious?" is one of the main reasons I came and then just listening to her. What she says really had an impact on me.

Joyce Meyer stated that one thing we know about young people is they love music so we have some real cutting- edge worship and praise that are some of the most popular worship and praise bands today, not people you would normally think I might be hanging with. But I think one of the messages it gives to people is that there really doesn't have to be a generation gap.
