subject: Things To Do In Miami [print this page]

My family and I hale from Lubbock, TexasMy family and I hale from Lubbock, Texas. For vacation we usually travel to Corpus Christi, Texas. Last year though we wanted to try something different. None of us had ever been to Miami, Florida and we felt we were way overdue to see what all the hype was about. We were very interested in finding Things To Do In Miami because the only way we could probably afford the vacation was if we had some help. My wife and I have six children ranging in ages from 7 to 16. So our vacations can get expense pretty rapidly.

I had gotten a healthy bonus from my job last

year so that was one of the reasons we could afford to go out of state. My wife

is also an expert at stretching a dollar because we have so many children. I

don"t know how she does it but if she didn"t we would probably never be able to go on vacation. While my wife and I were looking for accommodations and flights online we also googled Things To Do In Miami. A multitude of websites appeared on our screen and we found one that offered half price tickets. So we booked a couple of activities right there online. This was nice because gave us a general idea of what our itinerary would be like. We also found outstanding deals on our airplane flight and our hotel accommodations online. Where we are from in Texas the climate is very arid.

So when we arrived at Miami it was

exceedingly hot to all of us. However we took our vacation during the winter so

it wasn"t as bad as it probably could have been. The hotel we booked was a

little place called the Colony Hotel on Ocean Drive. The first activity that we

found on the Things To Do In Miami website was an Everglades tour. This was a

very fun for for all of us because we got to see some alligators in their

natural habitat. Also we got to take a ride in one of the parks airboats. The

following day we took a tour of Biscayne Bay on an immense sailboat. The neat

part about this tour was sailing around Star Island where all of the estates

and mansions of the rich and famous are located. The day after that we spendt

our time just walking around South Beach. It was funny because when we arrived

at Lincoln Road we saw Miami discount tour signs in practically every window of

every store. The prices that we found in some of these stores were not any

lower than the prices we had found online.

We found that the people working

there would start at higher prices and then come down lower. One thing that we

did fined at the store that we liked was a Segway rentals. So we decided to do

that. The entire family enjoyed the Segways about as much as anything we had

ever done on any vacation.

He drove all along the ocean walk that runs parallel

to the beach. This was extremely entertaining for all of us. Just out of

curiosity when we got back to our hotel that night we looked up Things To Do In

Miami online to see the prices of Segway rentals. It turned out we could have

done a little better if we had waited and booked the Segways online but it

wasn"t that dramatic of a difference. In closing I realize that booking your

things to do in Miami activities and everything else for your vacation is best done online.
