Exploration is a common feature of the human experience. Everyone explores from the toddler who accidentally places his hand on an operating stove to the man who dreams of living on the moon. However, few people are so ambitious. For some a trip across the state line or a national border is enough to sate their terrestrial curiosities. Still others are forced to travel for business reasons. Despite the advances in Internet-based communications and other associated technologies, which have literally placed the world at man's fingertips, the drive and ambition to travel still figures largely in the human psyche. While international travel still remains one of the most costly adventures that a man can engage in, there are several other less expensive venues, which can provide tourists with an equally diverse and fun experience. One of the largest industries in the United States and Western Europe is the "bed and breakfast" industry. A bed and breakfast is a small inn-type operation, where a local resident opens a house to the public, and lets out rooms to weary travelers. This allows vacationers to become immersed in the local culture of a location. Many people favor staying at a bed and breakfast over a national hotel chain, because of the personal attention given to the travelers needs by the individual proprietor. It should be noted that the prices of bed and breakfast establishments vary depending on the location of said establishment.

However, if you are feeling adventurous and wish to journey off the traditional tourist trek, then a bed and breakfast might be just the thing you are looking for. One of the major concerns for tourists and vacationers is price. You cannot journey anywhere in the world without taking money or something else of equal value. Other concerns include transportation, food, and lodging. However there is one concern, which many would-be travelers overlook, because it seems so simple at first glance. What will you take on your vacation? Now, many of you are probably questioning my intelligence at this moment, and responding "well clothes, toiletries, possibly a first aid kit, cash, a checkbook, and some sort of entertainment item such as a book." However, how much clothing and toiletry items are needed for your trip? This depends on the duration of your outing. Let us suppose that you and your family are going to stay the lake for four days. Will you need an entire set of matching luggage to be comfortable on this trip? Some of you might, but the average person might think " I will pack enough clothes and hygiene items for five days." Therefore, the average person does not need an entire set of luggage for a long weekend, or spring break. Travel bags are small enough to allow travelers to pack light, and still save space in their automobile. While families are usually the ones that take these types of trips on a regular basis, college students, males in particular, are fond of escaping the dreary confines of their college or university on weekends. They are also known to use their school bags as luggage. While this approach to the problem does work, it does not always present the best impression to strangers and young ladies that the young man may meet on the road. If you are a concerned sibling or parent who is looking for a special gift for your brother or child, then please know that a travel bag is more than acceptable as a men's gifts.
