subject: Man A Species On Earth Capable Of Doing Some Wonderful Stuff [print this page]

Ever since the evolution of mankind, human beings have always had the ability to perform unique tasks with their gifted strength and skill. Some people were naturally gifted with physical powers while some trained hard day in and day out to become skilled. Do any of us know what human power was capable of several hundred years back? The sad part is in those years people failed to keep a database of those stunning feats performed by talented people from all over the world. This was mainly due to ignorance and due to the lack of technology; they couldnt keep a visual record of those unique feats.

At some point, people started realizing that the gifted abilities of man shouldnt go unnoticed. So, in order to keep a database of these unique feats, people came up with something called the Guinness book of records. The Guinness Book of World Records, that is published annually, contains an assortment of world records, both human achievements and the extreme uniqueness of nature.

However, with the rapid advancement of technology, several hundreds of record-breaking feats are being brought to your home in the form of TV shows. With these shows, audiences are able to witness a wide range of jaw-dropping feats. These TV shows are a great source of entertainment too. When it comes to TV shows, one particular genre that I never miss to watch is the Guinness record shows. These shows literally bring the unique feats as a visual treat. Notably, Ripley's believe or not was one such show that caught the attention of many a few years back.

Guinness World Records is one of the worlds most-watched factual TV shows. These exciting, adrenaline-filled family shows are full of entertainment and have the knack of keeping the audiences glued to their seats. These shows can also be thrilling, appalling, comical and heart-warming at times.

One of my favorite shows is Guinness World Records Live Top 100 and I just love watching them on my ATT UVerse Cable connection. Its a 2-hour series that projects the 100 most impressive world records ever set in the history of Guinness. The show is pioneered by two hosts, the Emmy award winner Mark Thompson and Chris Collinsworth. They give a weekly outlook on the biggest, smallest, fastest and strangest things in this world. To add more salt and pepper to the show, stunt daredevil Chris Ewing performs some stunning stunt sequences.

Guinness World Records Gone Wild is another show that is in the list of my favorite shows. However, this show is very different. It showcases average, everyday folks trying to pull out a rabbit out of the hat by performing some astonishing feats. Ultimately, they try to chase the previous Guinness records.

Let me list out some of the feats that are attempted to be broken in this record hunting show. The feats include:

Most panes of glass run through consecutively in one minute

Most bras unhooked in one minute

Most live cockroaches held in the mouth

Most watermelons crushed with the head in one minute

Fastest time for a dog to pop 100 balloons

Most kicks to the head in one minutest paintballs to hit a person in 30 seconds

Most powdered donuts eaten in three minutes

Farthest throw of a person

Most people crammed into a tiny car

Highest dive into 12 inches of water

Fastest time to jump over three moving vehicles

Most paintballs to hit a person in 30 seconds

Guinness World Records Gone Wild is hosted by Jamie Kennedy. The official catchphrase of this show is Officially Amazing and it truly is. Its truly amazing to see how the tasks performed by those budding and aspiring talents entertain the energetic viewers. This show promises an outrageous amount of entertainment.
